Top Floor Web Design is proud to offer complete, hosted eLearning solutions, that’s design, set up and hosting using the very popular CMS (Course Management System) Moodle.

We believe that schools, colleges, universities and even smaller educational establishments can all benefit from a virtual learning environment. I’m sure that teaching staff are only too aware of how annoying it is when student’s miss a lesson or when a student uses the excuse “I’ve forgotten my homework miss!” – well with a VLE, you eradicate all of these possibilities. Students can still carry on learning from home (or wherever there is an internet connection) and teachers can let students upload their homework online!

We’ve spoken to many teachers about Moodle and every teacher we spoke to have said that they really like the grade book feature which is available to both staff and students online. Each student has an individual account which means they can upload their own homework and addons available for Moodle can test for plagiarism and let the teacher know. Once a teacher has marked a piece of work, whether that be an uploaded document, a self-marking quiz or an essay types directly into the Moodle system, staff can set a mark and give feedback to the students instantly. Students will then be able to check their mark and keep up-to-date with how they’re doing on the course with a customised grade-book for each course.
